Hello there!
My name is Sally Stark and I’m the owner of Nirvana Wellness and Medspa. My journey began in Texas, where I grew up alongside my high school sweetheart, who has been my loving husband for the last 20 years. Together, we have two incredible teenagers, whom we have been homeschooling with great dedication. Our shared commitment to family values has not only shaped our personal lives but has also influenced the way we approach our business.
I graduated from Baldwin Beauty School in Austin, Texas almost 20 years ago, then furthered my education under Anna D. Rinehart director of Medical Aesthetics F.A.C.E. @ Seton Medical Center in Killeen, Tx.
Anna D. Rinehart literally wrote the book on Medical Aesthetics. Many Physicians, RN’s, and Aestheticians have studied Medical Aesthetics at F.A.C.E. In 2013, I became a certified in Medical Aesthetics.
My amazing mother has been a constant source of inspiration and guidance in my life. From a young age, she instilled in me the importance of taking care of my body and skin through proper nutrition and holistic practices. She taught me that by nourishing our bodies with clean food and water, incorporating trace minerals and vitamins from natural sources, and utilizing plant medicine found in nature, we can prevent health issues and promote healing. This upbringing sparked a passion within me to delve deeper into the study of the human body and discover ways to care for it holistically.
In my pursuit of holistic wellness, I have explored various skincare practices from different cultures. Korean, Japanese, and Indian Ayurvedic skincare have been an integral part of my life. These ancient traditions have a deep understanding of the connection between our skin and overall well-being. They emphasize the use of natural ingredients and techniques to enhance the health and appearance of the skin.
My fascination with traditional Eastern medicine and skincare led me on a journey to explore the ancient practice of face reading. In Chinese, this technique is known as Mien Shiang and has been practiced for approximately 3,000 years. Similarly, in India, face reading has been integrated with Ayurveda for over 5,000 years. This time-honored method allows one to analyze the surface of the skin and identify underlying imbalances within the body.
During my research, I found Dr. Ben Johnson, the visionary behind OsmosisMD Beauty. He not only educates skincare professionals on "skin mapping," a technique similar to face reading but also offers a comprehensive range of professional skincare and wellness products designed to enhance both internal and external well-being. Discovering Dr. Ben Johnson and OsmosisMD was truly exhilarating as I have relied on his protocols and products for several years in my own practice. Inspired by his teachings, I have developed my own treatment protocols and curated an assortment of highly effective cosmeceutical lines from Korea and the USA for customized skincare treatments and home regimens. Over the years I developed another passion for non invasive body contouring to assist my clients in achieving their body goals. This is important to me as it helps boost one’s self esteem and confidence, which also boosts overall health. I integrate various mechanical modalities to provide non-invasive body contouring for fat loss, muscle strengthening and pain relief, as well as rejuvenation treatments that lift and tighten the skin.
With nearly two decades of experience as a Licensed Cosmetologist, I have honed my skills and expertise in the field. Additionally, I am proud to hold certifications as a Medical Aesthetician and Holistic Skincare Specialist. This comprehensive knowledge allows me to offer a unique blend of both traditional and alternative approaches to beauty and wellness.
Driven by my unwavering passion for helping others, I am dedicated to continuously expanding my knowledge and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the industry, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of care. Moreover, I am dedicated to creating an atmosphere of warmth, comfort, and trust, where our clients feel valued and heard.
I am also certified in many advanced skincare techniques including Ultrasound+ RF, BB Glow, Myosculpt, Electrolysis, Clinical Chemical Peels, Clinical Facial Assessments, Clinical Acne Care, Keratin Lash Lifts, Microdermabrasion, and Body Contouring!
